1. G.William (1972 - 1978)

William Gopallawa was the first President of Sri Lanka. He was also the 4th Governor General of Sri Lanka and the 5th Secretary-General of the Non-Aligned Movement. He served as President from 22 May 1972 to 4 February 1978. He was elected to the presidency as an independent. Sirimavo Bandaranaike served as the Chief Minister during William Gopallawa's tenure as the 4th Governor General. He had 5 children. 3. Ranasinghe Premadasa(1989 - 1993)

Ranasinghe Premadasa was the third President of Sri Lanka. He served as the 8th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka and as a Member of Parliament for Colombo Central. He served as the President from 2 January 1989 to 1 May 1993. His political party was the United National Party. Dingiri Banda Wijetunga served as the Chief Minister during Ranasinghe Premadasa's tenure as the 3rd President. He had 2 children. His predecessor was Junius Richard Jayewardene. He was born on 23 June 1924 and died on 1 May 1993 (aged 68). The cause of his death was assassination.

4. D.B.Wijethunga(1993 - 1994)

Dingiri Banda Wijetunga was the fourth President of Sri Lanka. He was the 9th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka and the leader of the United National Party. He served as the President from 7 May 1993 to November 1994. His political party was the United National Party. During Dingiri Banda Wijetunga's tenure as the 4th President, Ranil Wickremesinghe served as the Chief Minister and during Dingiri Banda Wijetunga's tenure as the 9th Prime Minister. His predecessor was Ranasinghe Premadasa. He was born on 15 February 1916 and died on 21 September 2008 (aged 92).

5. C.Bandaranayaka kumarathunnga(1994 - 2005)

Chandrika Kumaratunga was the 5th President of Sri Lanka. She served as the 11th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka and the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Member of Parliament for Gampaha, and the second Chief Minister of the Western Province. She served as the President from 12 November 1994 to 19 November 2005. Her political party was the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. Chandrika Kumaratunga served as the 5th President of Sri Lanka, with Sirimavo Bandaranaike as the Chief Minister Her predecessor was Dingiri Banda Wijetunga. He was born on 29 June 1945.

6. Mihinda Rajapaksha(2005 - 2015)

Mahinda Rajapaksa was the 6th President of Sri Lanka. He served as the 13th Prime Minister and 12th Leader of the Opposition of Sri Lanka. He served as the President from 19 November 2005 to 9 January 2015. His political party was the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna before 2018. But his current political party is the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. During Mahinda Rajapaksa's tenure as the 6th President of Sri Lanka, Ratnasiri Wickramanayake served as the Chief Minister and Chandrika Kumaratunga as the First Lady. He has three children. He was born on 18 November 1945.

7. Mithripala sirisena(2015 - 2019)

Maithripala Sirisena was the 7th President of Sri Lanka. He served as the Minister of Defence and Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment of Sri Lanka. He served as the President from 9 January 2015 to 18 November 2019. His political party was the Communist Party of Lanka during the period 1966–1968. However, his current political party is the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. During Maithripala Sirisena's tenure as the 7th President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe served as the Chief Minister. He was born on 3 September 1951.

8. godabaya Rajapaksha(2019 - 2022)

Gotabaya Rajapaksa was the 8th President of Sri Lanka. He served as the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development of Sri Lanka. He served as the President from 18 November 2019 to 14 July 2022. His political party is the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. During Gotabaya Rajapaksa's tenure as the 8th President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe served as the Chief Minister and Maithripala Sirisena as the Vice President. 9. Ranil Wikramasinha(2022 - 2025)

Ranil Wickremesinghe was the 9th President of Sri Lanka. He served as the 10th Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, the 10th Leader of the Opposition, and as a Member of Parliament for the Colombo District and Gampaha District. He served as the President from 21 July 2022 to September 2024. His political party is the United National Party. During Ranil Wickremesinghe's tenure as the 9th President of Sri Lanka, Dinesh Gunawardena served as the Chief Minister and Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the Vice President. He has no children. He was born on 24 March 1949.

10. Anura Kumara Disanayaka(2025 - now)

Anura Kumara Dissanayake was the 10th President of Sri Lanka. He served as the Minister of Defence, the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, the Minister of Energy, the Leader of the National People's Power, the Leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, and the Chief Organizer of the Opposition. He assumed office on 23 September 2024. His political party is the National People's Power. During Anura Kumara Dissanayake's tenure as the President of Sri Lanka, Harini Amarasuriya served as the Chief Minister. Born on 24 November 1968.
